How It All Started

My name is Tal Elyakim and I am turning my dream into my full-time job.

I first fell in love with fishing when I was just 8 years old and my addiction to the sport has only grown since. By studying and practicing, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge spanning the different aspects of fishing. Now I’d like to share that expertise with you!

I started Reel Rush Fishing Charters because I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with everyone and show them how exciting it is to catch a fish and spend time on the water. My primary goal is to help you reel in a big one!

Whether you like fishing or simply enjoy being on a boat, I deliver an enjoyable experience of trying something new.

My satisfaction comes from helping someone reel in a fish for the first time, seeing the excitement on their face. That’s what drives myself and other fishermen like me to share our experience with others.

Our Boat

At Reel Rush, we pride ourselves on maintaining a safe and reliable fishing boat to take us out and bring us back home.

Our 18.5-foot Smokercraft can comfortably accommodate up to 3 guests on board. The boat is fully rigged with top-of-the-line Garmin sonars, including Livescope, to elevate your fishing experience!

Captain Tal has been fishing all over Ontario for more than 10 years. He is fully commercially insured, Small Vessel Operators Proficiency (SVOP), Small Domestic Vessel Basic Safety (SDV-BS), Radio Operators Course-Maritime (ROC-M), and Marine Basic First Aid (MBFA). Reel Rush is fully insured, certified and in compliance with the regulations established by Transport Canada.

There are three public parking lots at and around the boat launch. Please call or text Captain Tal when you arrive at (647) 620-3488.

Charters begin in April and end in September, weather permitting. We will be fishing in both Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. Our target species are salmon, rainbow trout, and lake trout (Lake Ontario), as well as walleye (Lake Erie).
